Open the guide you need. The procedures below consolidate the information from the original Help pages in one place.
Plan approximately 30 minutes before the first booking.
Optional: Reset statistics from the statistics panel at the top right, second tab, using Clear. Alternatively use End Session followed by New Session.
Optional: End Session displays the statistics and blocks further gameplay. New Session removes the block and resets the statistics.
A spectator headset can be used for companions and for checking whether the mapping has shifted. Check it regularly because its mapping can shift as well.
Turn off the headset by holding the power button for about 4 to 5 seconds. Restart it, open Laser Limbo and log in again.
Briefly press the Quest power button and choose Cancel. If that does not help, restart the headset.
If the Laser Limbo headset app cannot establish a connection to the Windows Operator App, work through these checks in order. The connection-troubleshooting video above walks through the same sequence.
Use the game-modes video above for staff training or to give customers a quick overview. Additional training files are available in the Game Mode resource folder ↗.
All players should stand in the chosen spawn zone. With Auto Start enabled the round starts automatically. Otherwise the operator starts it manually with Start Match.
The player returns to the spawn zone. An arrow guides the player back.
For Coin Clash, Puzzle Battle and Pop'N'Stop, the original operator guidance recommends using multiple laser traps to encourage slower and more careful movement. You can duplicate a map, add more traps to the duplicate and switch between versions when needed. In shooter modes traps are less essential but can still add variety.
For small spaces, the original operator guidance recommends values around 250 to 350. In larger spaces, values up to 1000 can be used. Experiment with the setting because faster is not always better.
Use tape or stickers to mark the two anchor points, including their exact positions and order, so the setup can be repeated consistently.
The Quest App tutorial is aimed at enterprise users. It walks through creating a map on one headset, calibrating and mapping the room, transferring that map to the Operator App and making it available to the other headsets.
If you need to set up a Meta developer account first, use the Meta developer account tutorial ↗.
The Operator App tutorial explains the available Operator App functions. The original guide notes that the UI design and individual functions may change or expand with software updates, so small visual differences between the video and the current app are possible.
